On September 2, 2004, the Court amended its prior Order from August 27, 2004, to include direct action plaintiffs from the cases Sara Lee Corporation, et al. v. Smurfit Stone Container Corporation, et al. (No. 03-3939) and Smithfield Foods, Inc., et al. v. Smurfit Stone Container Corporation, et al. (No. 03-3968). These plaintiffs are now granted leave to file and serve amended complaints within twenty days, which will incorporate the same federal and state claims as those in previously filed Amended Complaints from several other cases, including Procter & Gamble Company, Milne Fruit Products, Inc., and Mars, Inc. A copy of the amended complaints must be served on the Court upon filing. The direct action plaintiffs originally granted leave include entities from various cases against Smurfit Stone Container Corporation and its successor, Stone Container Corporation, filed in multiple jurisdictions.
