Assa'ad-Faltas v. South Carolina Supreme Court
Docket: No. 09-2081
Court: Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; August 13, 2010; Federal Appellate Court
Marie Therese Assa’ad-Faltas, M.D. M.P.H. appeals the district court's order that adopted the magistrate judge’s recommendation to summarily dismiss her complaint under 28 U.S.C. § 1915. The appeal also contests the district court's denial of her motion under Fed. R. Civ. P. 59(e). After reviewing the record, the court found no reversible error and denied Assa’ad-Faltas’s motions for appointment of counsel and to place the appeal in abeyance. The court affirmed the district court's orders and noted that oral argument was unnecessary as the facts and legal arguments were sufficiently presented in the existing materials. The decision is not a binding precedent in the circuit.
