Slip Track Systems, Inc. v. Metal-Lite, Inc.
Citation: 168 F. App'x 943Docket: No. 05-1491
Court: Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; February 9, 2006; Federal Appellate Court
Slip Track Systems, Inc. and Todd A. Brady (collectively, "Slip Track") have filed a motion to voluntarily dismiss their appeal from a judgment issued by the United States District Court for the Central District of California in case no. 98-20. Slip Track additionally requested that each party bear its own costs. However, this request was opposed by Metal-Lite, Inc. and others ("Metal-Lite"), who also sought sanctions against Slip Track. The court has issued the following rulings: 1) Slip Track's motion to dismiss the appeal is granted. 2) Slip Track's request for each side to bear its own costs is denied, and costs are awarded to Metal-Lite. These costs include not only those for briefs but also for motions and responses. 3) Metal-Lite's motion for sanctions is denied.
