The Michigan Supreme Court issued an order on May 27, 2008, regarding the case of Rosia Mitchell-Crenshaw, Successor Personal Representative of the Estate of Floyd L. Mitchell, Deceased, against Lonnie Joe, Jr., M.D., and Providence Hospital and Medical Center. The court had previously held the application for leave to appeal the February 7, 2006 judgment of the Court of Appeals in abeyance pending the outcome of the Braverman v Garden City Hospital case, which was decided on April 9, 2008. Upon reconsideration, the court denied the application for leave to appeal, stating that the questions presented did not warrant review by the Supreme Court. Corbin R. Davis, Clerk of the Michigan Supreme Court, certified the order as a true and complete copy.
