Clarence E. Tyler applied to appeal the denial of a writ of habeas corpus, which had been issued by Judge Raine in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. At the time of his petition on August 27, 1957, Tyler was held in the Baltimore City Jail and raised several claims regarding irregularities in his arrest and detention. However, since that petition, he has been tried and convicted in the Criminal Court of Baltimore and sentenced to four years in the Maryland Penitentiary, where he is currently incarcerated. Consequently, the issue of the legality of his previous detention in the Baltimore City Jail is now moot. The application for appeal is denied, and costs are assessed against the petitioner.
