In re Child Support Committee
Citation: 347 Ark. 1090
Court: Supreme Court of Arkansas; January 17, 2002; Arkansas; State Supreme Court
The Child Support Committee has been reconstituted to include one Arkansas Court of Appeals Judge, four circuit judges, one legal services attorney, one Office of Child Support Enforcement attorney, two private bar attorneys, and one attorney from the Arkansas General Assembly. This modification follows Amendment 80 to the Arkansas Constitution, which replaces the previous designations of chancellors and circuit/chancery judges with four circuit judges. Two long-serving members, Honorable Judith Rogers and Honorable Ellen Brantley, have had their terms expire, and the Court expresses gratitude for their service. New appointments include Judge John Robbins of the Arkansas Court of Appeals and Judge Mary McGowan, Pulaski County Circuit Judge, each serving four-year terms that will end on November 30, 2005. The Court acknowledges the importance of the Committee and thanks the new appointees for their willingness to serve.
