Relators Tammy Tran, Minh-Tran “Tammy” Tran, Attorney at Law, LLP, Chua, LLC, and Hong-An, LP filed a petition for a writ of mandamus against the trial court's order dated July 28, 2022. This order denied their motion for a protective order and compelled the production of documents in the underlying case, 2905 Fannin, LLC v. Tammy Tran, Minh-Tran “Tammy” Tran, Attorney at Law, LLP, Chua, LLC, and Hong-An, LP, pending in Harris County’s 61st District Court under Judge Fredericka Phillips. Alongside the petition, they sought an emergency motion to stay the document production. The Court of Appeals for the First District of Texas denied the mandamus petition and dismissed the stay motion as moot. The opinion was issued by a panel of Chief Justice Radack and Justices Landau and Hightower.
