Richard P. Schubach, an attorney admitted to the bar in 1983, is suspended from practicing law for three months due to violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) including gross neglect (RPC 1.1(a)), lack of diligence (RPC 1.3), and failure to communicate with a client (RPC 1.4(a)). The suspension is effective March 22, 2004, and Schubach is mandated to complete twelve hours of professional responsibility courses approved by the Office of Attorney Ethics within ninety days following his reinstatement. He must also provide proof of completion to the Office of Attorney Ethics. During the suspension, he is prohibited from practicing law and must comply with Rule 1:20-20. Additionally, the entire record of this case will be permanently included in his attorney file, and he is required to reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for administrative costs related to the proceedings.
