United States v. Donovan R. Bell
Citations: 59 F.3d 167; 1995 U.S. App. LEXIS 23479; 1995 WL 375900Docket: 95-6282
Court: Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; June 26, 1995; Federal Appellate Court
The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the district court's denial of Donovan R. Bell's motion under 28 U.S.C. § 2255. The court reviewed the record and the district court's opinion and found no reversible error. The decision was based on the reasoning provided by the district court in the case United States v. Bell, No. CR-94-69-L; CA-95-168-L (D. Md. Oct. 24, 1994). The panel, consisting of Circuit Judges Niemeyer and Williams, and Senior Circuit Judge Butzner, determined that oral argument was unnecessary as the facts and legal arguments were adequately presented in the submitted materials. Additionally, the court denied Bell's request for court-appointed counsel.
