Thomas v. Diamond Rug & Carpet Mills
Citations: 234 Ga. App. 181; 505 S.E.2d 848; 98 Fulton County D. Rep. 3420; 1998 Ga. App. LEXIS 1180Docket: A97A0841
Court: Court of Appeals of Georgia; September 1, 1998; Georgia; State Appellate Court
In Thomas v. Diamond Rug Carpet Mills, the Georgia Court of Appeals reversed the superior court’s decision that denied Thomas’ claim for workers' compensation benefits. Subsequently, the Supreme Court of Georgia granted certiorari and reversed the appellate court’s ruling in Ga. Self-Insurers Guaranty Trust Fund v. Thomas. As a result, the Court of Appeals vacated its earlier judgment, adopting the Supreme Court’s ruling as its own, and affirmed the final judgment. Judges McMurray and Smith concurred with the decision.
