Court: Kentucky Supreme Court; April 24, 2003; Kentucky; State Supreme Court
Christopher J. Heavens, a Kentucky Bar member since October 28, 1999, was suspended on December 18, 2001, for non-compliance with continuing legal education (CLE) requirements under SCR 3.669. He is seeking restoration of his Bar membership pursuant to SCR 3.500, which allows members suspended for less than five years to apply for reinstatement by completing necessary forms, paying a $250 fee, and settling all dues. Heavens has been suspended for less than five years, has completed the required forms, paid the fee and all back dues, and has been certified as having fulfilled the necessary CLE credits through June 30, 2003. The Board of Governors voted 17-1 in favor of his application. Consequently, his request for restoration is granted. The order was entered on April 24, 2003, by Chief Justice Joseph E. Lambert.
