Appellant Albert Araiza Garcia's court-appointed attorney has submitted an Anders brief and a motion to withdraw, asserting no meritorious issues for appeal exist. The attorney confirmed that Garcia has been informed of his right to review the record and file a pro se brief. Garcia must request the appellate record in writing by September 2, 2021, from the Bexar County District Clerk, who is required to provide the record within ten days of the request. Should Garcia choose to file a pro se brief, it must be submitted by October 4, 2021. The State has waived its right to file a brief unless Garcia submits a pro se brief, in which case the State has 30 days to respond. The court has held the motion to withdraw in abeyance pending further order. Additionally, the Clerk of the Court is directed to serve copies of this order to all relevant parties.
