On October 7, 2019, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania issued an order regarding the assignment of a judge for the Commonwealth v. Gerald A. Sandusky cases (CP-14-CR-2421-2011 and CP-14-CR-2422-2011) in Centre County. Following the recusal of Judge John H. Foradora, the Court assigned Judge Maureen A. Skerda from the Court of Common Pleas of the Thirty-Seventh Judicial District, covering Warren and Forest Counties, to oversee the cases. Judge Skerda is granted the same powers and authority as the judges of the judicial district for the duration of the proceedings or until further notice from the Court.
