The Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas reinstated the appeal of Abey Belette Girma against the State of Texas. Initially, on July 30, 2014, the court had requested the trial court to provide findings regarding the delay in filing the appellant's brief. Following the receipt of the brief, the court vacated its earlier order for findings. Additionally, the court granted Girma's motion filed on August 29, 2014, to submit his brief and lifted the prior order of abatement. The Clerk of the Court is instructed to file the submitted brief as of the date of this order. The order is signed by Justice David Evans.
