Guadalupe Economic Services Corporation (Appellant) is involved in an appeal against Pedro DeHoyos, Jr. and Charlot DeHoyos (Appellees) regarding a judgment from the District Court of Bastrop County, which ordered the Appellant to pay $302,203 in actual damages and $371,402 in exemplary damages. The Appellant filed a notice of appeal on February 18, 2005, following the issuance of a writ of execution for property belonging to Guadalupe Economic Services Corporation, scheduled for sale on July 5, 2005. In response, the Appellant filed a motion to set the security amount in the Court of Appeals for the Third District of Texas. The Justices granted a temporary injunction preventing the sale of the Appellant's property in Lubbock County. This injunction remains in effect pending a hearing on the Appellant's motion to reduce the security amount or until the district court decides to dissolve the injunction. The injunction applies to the Appellees, Guadalupe Economic Services Corporation, and various county officials, and was issued on June 17, 2005.
