Leslie Clint Slay, the appellant, failed to pay the required $175 filing fee for his appeal against Nationstar Mortgage, L.L.C., formerly Centex Home Equity Company, L.L.C. Despite notifications on July 8 and July 22, 2008, regarding the potential dismissal of the appeal due to non-payment, Slay did not comply. Consequently, the Court of Appeals for the Second District of Texas dismissed the appeal in accordance with Texas Rules of Appellate Procedure 42.3(c) and 43.2(f). The appellant is ordered to pay all costs associated with the appeal, and execution for these costs may be issued.
