On July 1, 2014, Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia adopted Magistrate Judge Alan Kay's Report and Recommendation regarding Jane Doe's motion for default judgment against defendant Mazin Saleh. The Report, issued on June 10, 2014, indicated that no objections had been filed within the required 14-day period. Consequently, the court granted the motion in part and denied it in part, entering a default judgment in favor of the plaintiff against Saleh for the following amounts: $5,607.70 for past medical damages, $75,000 for future medical damages, $250,000 for pain and suffering, and $300,000 in punitive damages.
